Saw this at Birmingham film festival, so many cringe moments you can't help but love it. Memories of a better (some would say!) time... definitely worth the watch.

This film really was class. It was funny, witty, and a little bit mad, which we all love to see. The music and costumes were fantastic! I loved every second!

If anyone hasn't enjoyed this mini irish masterpiece A they're missing out!

I watched this movie last year at the premiere, absolutely loved it. It was charming, funny, great sound track and the actors had great chemistry together.

A lovely, gentle, quirky look back in fondness to the 1980s, the styles, the music and the way of life. We watch Danny grapple with the agonies of adolescence, the search for love and his own identity. His character is fascinating, because he looks lost and fragile, yet finds his way despite himself. A fun, feelgood movie.

I gave this film a 10/10 because it is such a joy to watch. Fun, quirky, and something the whole family could enjoy. An ideal film to watch over the festive season, snuggled on the couch with a glass of wine, a box of tissues (for the sad and the funny parts) and a big box of chocs. The young actors were completely amazing and I hope we will see more of them in the future. Highly recommended.

I was so much looking forward to this film! As a lover of everything 80s Synth Pop and Wave and beyond, of course I was delighted by the film's soundtrack (but what else would you expect than fantastic musical taste by the filmmaker himself). It's a heartwarming, genuine story with fantastic actors. What I loved best is that my brother is called Danny and his daughter is called Carla. ✨✨✨🙌

I love this film. It is a 10/10 from me because the whole family can watch, very entertaining, excellent music and light hearted. I would recommend this film to anyone.

Very entertaining, light hearted movie. Go back in time to the 80's, when social media didn't exist, sit back and enjoy the movie. Well worth the watch.

A lot of people gave this romantic/unconventional/family film low scores on the reviews and that's part of the appeal, that's what got me to watch it. Not everyone who watches will take a few minuets to throw down a few words but haters will always find issues with things, regardless of quality. I enjoyed the simplistic viewing and in particular the quirkiness and awkwardness of the characters. It's this strangeness that has its appeal.

Im not sure what people were expecting though. For me It's a simple, enjoyable feel good movie for all. It's not trying to recreate the wheel. Kick back with your favourite brew to hand, watch Danny on his adolescent journey to becoming a man/women/binary option or what ever he decides (can't give anything away).

For a mostly unknown cast and crew it wasn't without its charm, oh wait, his mammy and a few others are known on the Irish circuit. Give it watch and support the Irish film industry.

Hard to believe this movie was made on a very low budget.

A good storyline, great acting and sharp editing made it a thoroughly entertaining experience.

I absolutely loved every aspect! The music was amazing and was such a feel good experience! I loved the style and found it extremely uplifting, I really couldn't recommend it enough!

This movie is great fun ... recalling 1980s discos and style. All the more enjoyable with a punchy soundtrack that adds to the engaging storyline. Kudos to all the cast who brought the story to life so vividly. Highly recommended!

Looking for an enjoyable night at the movies. Well don't miss this one so. A blast from the past, set in the 80's with all its style and humour, not to mention the hairstyles. A coming of age/ love story in the pre social media age, where the awkward moments in life were all played out face to face. Great cast and Director.
