Violence & Gore

  • All violence include stylised in detail stabbings.

  • The Eternals use their superpowers and superweapons to defeat scary, aggressive monsters known as Deviants
  • A woman is impaled from behind. Not gory, but disconcerting.
  • A man is eaten by a creature. kind of a jump scare
  • Epic wars and battles are shown throughout parts of history. Nothing overly violent, but many people die off screen.
  • A man sacrifices himself by getting eaten by a Deviant.
  • Violence is on par with other MCU movies
  • A superhero shoots a magical blast at a monsters head, blowing it ups with chunks of gore spraying everywhere, and some landing on his face. Quite gory for a PG-13, however the gore isn't red, is dimly lit, and is the violence is explained as self-defense. Also sort of played for laughs.

  • 'Sh*t' is said five times.
  • The middle finger is shown as a vulgar gesture.
  • 'Hell' is said.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • An early scene tales place at a club/bar. Alcoholic drinks are shown being consumed
  • The Eternals sit at a table for a meal and drink alcohol that one of the characters refer to as beer.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The movie is emotionally heavy, and at times dark. Probably the most emotionally mature Marvel movie. Some viewers may find some of the themes hard to understand.
  • There are scenes, some sustained, in which monsters menace humans and attack immortals. Some sequences depict monsters using long tentacles to cling on to certain characters, piercing them in the back and the neck, draining them of their powers.
  • A few jump scenes
  • Two characters survey the ruins of the bombing of Hiroshima. This is a very emotionally heavy scene
  • Some instances of threats that include earthquakes and erupting volcanoes.
