London, present time: Tom wakes up in the middle of the night to see his twenty year old self, Tomas, pointing a gun at his face. Tomas just traveled through time from 1980's USSR to see how Socialism is prospering. As a dedicated party member and future soldier, has been chosen specifically by the Socialist government for this vital experiment. Tom laughs in his face and shows him the events of last twenty years. It becomes very clear to Tomas that there has been a huge mistake. He has to do all he can, to save Socialism from its fate, at any cost.
Excursion was shot in 2 weeks and the budget was GBP 50,000. The whole film is shot entirely on 2 locations, with a single camera and 5 actors. See more »
When Tom and Tomas are first standing face to face, you can see the young Tomas is 2-3 inches taller than Tom, possibly more with old Tom's bushy hair making him look taller. See more »
I watched this because it won many awards and though this got a bunch of bad reviews I thought this was still a great film. A nice sci-fi movie. Production was great, acting was solid and the ending is where it's at. Watch with an open mind, it's an indie film and they made it work.
