People who have too much time on their hands who find a life of crime in a unique way

After watching this episode that outlines how Robin Ramirez, 46, Amico Fountain, 42, and Marilyn Johnson, 62, allegedly ran the bulk of their business out of four Phoenix, Ariz. properties using a fake website and eBay to sell consumers fraudulent coupons at a deeply discounted rate.

Robin Ramirez would actually contact various commercial businesses branches Customer Service Centers and falsely claim that she recently purchased their product and it was defective. When the Customer Service Manager offered to correct the (false) claim to Ms. Ramirez's satisfaction they would send her a coupon that would offer a 100% free purchase. Once she received her 100% free coupon she would forge additional copies of the legitimate coupon, and post the forged coupons on her website offering a deep discount that was too good to be true. (No surprise there) She even advised her clientele that if by chance the retailer would not accept the coupons they paid for through her website she would guarantee their full purchase price would be immediately refunded.

By the time the FBI busted up her lucrative coupon business several major retailers had already coughed up several million dollars of illegitimate rebates. This was a very interesting episode.
