The U.S. Military has its own legal system: The Uniform Code of Military Justice. In the Marine Corps, the attorneys who represent their fellow Marines are called Judge Advocates. Judge Advocates, are active duty Marines, each of whom are eligible to serve as a prosecutor, a defense attorney... or to be assigned to a combat post. See more
