Violence & Gore

  • Many instances of blood from gunshot wounds, knife wounds, and hand-to-hand combat.
  • Early on, Batman falls from an incredible height while swinging from a building. The impact sound when he hits the ground is pretty harsh, and he is shown with blood streaming from his nose and mouth.

  • Scattered frequent uses of profanity. Words include "Damn", "Goddamn", "Screw", "Shit", "Jesus", and one half enunciated use of the F word.
  • Poison Ivy tries to say "What the f***?" but gets stopped.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters are shown ordering and drinking alcoholic beverages in a couple of scenes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Scarecrow attacks Nightwing and Catwoman in the cemetery. He uses his "fear-toxin" on Nightwing causing him to see both Scarecrow and Catwoman as horrifying monsters.
  • In the final act, a trap is set where the body of Batman's dead friend is released from a trap door in the ceiling of the hallway Batman is rushing through. The body is pale, but not drawn decomposed.
  • The movie is definitely not for kids and mainly for adult audiences.
