It's Valentine's Day morning, and despite telling Josh, Nathaniel and Greg that she would tell them her decision by the end of the day, Rebecca is no more clear about her future with any of the three of them than she was before the three dates. In a last minute "meeting" with a usually more than accommodating "Dr. Akopian", Rebecca sees that she can be happy with any of the three but that she still has an inherent sadness about her no matter who she chooses. In that same session, Rebecca discovers that she has to answer a certain question about herself, the meaning of that question and a possible answer clarified in a subsequent meeting with Paula, who is going through her own internal struggles at work, she who loves her new job but feels that something vitally important is missing in it. The outcome of what Rebecca ultimately decides on this day is shown exactly one year into the future.
