It's time for the Elliot Ellison musical revue auditions at the community theater, Rebecca who sees performing in this show as the first step in redefining her life wherever being a musical theater performer will take her. Against this backdrop, many other things are happening. Josh, Greg and Nathaniel each make decisions, sometimes helped by others, to remain an integral part of Rebecca's life without telling her their reasons in the hopes that she will choose him, some who make a grand gesture in a truly meaningful way along the way to reach that goal. Valencia, still in town with Beth, sees all the signs that Beth is going to propose, which is what Valencia wants before they head back to New York. And now being a full fledged lawyer, Paula is going on job interviews to test where the objective marketplace places her lawyerly skills, while Darryl, who wants Paula to remain at Mountaintop as one of his best friends, does whatever he can within his means to ensure that she does stay, ...
