A Quiet Place 2 Gets Captain Marvel Star Djimon Hounsou

A Quiet Place 2 Gets Captain Marvel Star Djimon Hounsou
There's been a minor shake-up with the cast for A Quiet Place 2. Djimon Hounsou has stepped into a starring role in the highly-anticipated sequel. Unfortunately, adding one in-demand actor has come at the cost of another, as Brian Tyree Henry will no longer be appearing in the movie. Fortunately, it doesn't appear to be any sort of trouble or friction between Henry and the studio. Rather, it came down to scheduling conflicts, which has paved the way for Housou to nab a part in what is poised to be a big hit.

According to a new report, Djimon Hounsou has locked in a starring role in the sequel to last year's hit horror/thriller. Specific details regarding who the actor will be playing remain under lock and key. Brian Tyree Henry had joined the cast back in June. Henry has been incredibly busy over the past few years and has

Every Child’s Play Movie, Ranked (According To IMDb)

Dolls can be pretty eerie if you really look at them. At least these are the sentiments of Child's Play creator Don Mancini. There is something to be said for the often overly-happy grins and soulless, blank look in the eyes of many kids' dolls. Said to take inspiration from another creepy possessed doll in the "Talky Tina" episode of The Twilight Zone, the Child's Play series has further toyed with the idea of a killer child's doll.

Child's Play, which began as a more traditional horror romp, has run with a gorier, campier, and more comedic tangent that seems part Rob Zombie and part Tim Burton. While the quality has suffered somewhat as a result, the 2019 reboot looks to bring the franchise back to its roots, while offering its own modern twist. Just how does it compare? For that matter, how do

  • MovieWeb
Plenty of movies are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Ghostbusters II and Tim Burton's Batman were some of the biggest releases in summer 1989. But one movie would change comedy forever. Okay, it wouldn't really. But at the time, Weird Al Yankovic fans were extremely excited to see the King of Parody make his first foray into feature films with Uhf. Though a major bomb for Orion Pictures at the time, the comedy has gone onto to reach cult status.

Making a long-lasting career out of spoofing the biggest song hits of the day, Weird Al Yankovic decided to turn his attention to 80s movies, giving us a hybrid parody movie in the style of Airplane and Naked Gun that was contained within its own unique and original story. After losing yet another job, George, played by 'Weird Al' Yankovic himself in his

10 Killer Dolls Who Aren't Chucky Or Annabelle

Killer dolls have always had a creepy little area of the horror genre all to themselves, which has largely been dominated by the various Child's Play films, and more recently, the Annabelle franchise that first began in James Wan's The Conjuring. The latest Child's Play was a reboot that was generally not well-received by horror fans.

That doesn't mean the killer doll horror genre is dead though, with Annabelle films still making a killing at the box office. However, there are a number of killer dolls in Hollywood that could potentially be re-explored with a new film, or even just given another (or first time) viewing if you're tired of Chucky and Annabelle.

Well, Orion Pictures is doing just that, as the studio behind the recent Child's Play remake is partnering with Lee's Vertigo Entertainment and Ichise to develop a movie based on the creepy viral sensation known as Momo. Second Momo Movie Is on the Way, Will Turn Viral Hoax Into Horror Movie

We've got not one, but two different horror movies in the works based on this year's Momo Challenge. The viral sensation swept across the internet earlier this year, in large part thanks to Kim Kardashian, who shared the now infamous image with her many millions of followers on Instagram, along with some misinformation regarding hidden Momo messages in YouTube videos that are watched by young children. Given the popularity of the creepy-faced figure, Orion Pictures is now set to adapt Momo for the big screen.

According to a new report, Orion Pictures has partnered with Roy Lee's Vertigo Entertainment production company, as well as producer Taka Ichise, for a new, currently untitled Momo Challenge movie. Lee previously produced It, which went on to become the highest-grossing horror movie of all time. Lee and Ichise partnered in the past on hits such as The Grudge and The Ring. Orion Pictures,

Crawl Early Reactions Are In: Gory Alligator Thriller Delivers Big Time
The first reactions for Crawl are in! This movie feels like it's falling under the radar a bit in a summer full of big, glitzy blockbusters. But many of those blockbusters have tanked, or at the very least underperformed. Luckily, it sounds very much like we're in for something totally different this weekend and, if the first reactions are to be believed, horror lovers are in for a real treat.

Crawl, very simply, centers on a daughter and her father who are trapped during a hurricane when vicious alligators wind up trying to hunt them down. It's produced by the legendary Sam Raimi and directed by Alexandre Aja. That has apparently made for a winning combination. Moviefone's Drew Taylor had this to say on Twitter.

"Secret's out: #CrawlMovie is the horror movie of the summer, an ingeniously realized creature feature classic full of Alexandre Aja's patented combination of white
