Thank you, Trey and Matt, for constantly making fun of things that deserve to be made fun of.

There Will be Goo
jackambler17 October 2019
Interesting, silly, and somewhat thought provoking South Park commentary on Veganism, Corporatism, and branches of Climate Change.
Matt and Trey seem to have found a format of semi-serialisation that fits quite well into the South Park mould, and the freedom it gives them to explore topics that they want to whilst simultaneously providing an engaging story and character beats has revitalised the show, although it would be nice to see more episodes focused around the main four characters regardless.
Overall, I give this episode a solid Tegridy out of Weed.

There has been some growing pains...

But Trey and Matt have started to find their groove in keeping to the serialized format of story telling. I do still miss the episodic nature of old southpark to a degree. It's Much easier to watch a one off episode in the background of daily activities like cooking or study when it's a non linear episode.
But they are now starting to find their own way of incorporating the old southpark style within a linear narrative by utilizing for example; side characters and in joke south park references to not isolate episodes and make them re-watchable on their own.
Trey and Matt are seriously intelligent and insanely hard working individuals. There is a obvious method to their madness and I'm now starting to truly appreciate the new direction they decided to take.
Oh and embrace the corporate oil... I mean 'goo' of the new era.

Great Episode!!!

I'm glad to see that Trey and Matt are still making fun of things that the majority find to be ridiculous and stupid. It seems like are still pushing their beliefs onto other people so as long as we keep standing up to them and let them know that we aren't going to take their crap anymore, we will eventually win and they'll stop. Keep it up South Park. We need shows like you.
Tastes like crap but you won't care!

My real review got rejected. Just see this episode for yourself as it's hard to explain. Let them eat goo is about plant based burgers that taste horrible, but people eat them up anyway (KINDA like actual weed. Smells horrible but people seem to love it......)
Little bit better than previous episodes but still no where near good as pre 20th season !

I don't want a Tegridey Farms Randy spin-off ! I want old South Park back ! Randy used to be my favorite SP Adult but now he totally is ruined also what has happened to Cartman ? Cartman use to be a big a**hole an someone so sick and evil who could do horrendous unthinkable things !
I Think South Park should end cause it have met creative end ! I will still re-watch old Pre-20th season episodes , i still found them funny !

Hypocrisy bubbles - vegetarianism

Warning: Spoilers
This episode shows the hypocrisy and double standards of those who call freedom-to-speech and environmental protection, even with a trace of innocence and stupidity. Here is a question: if those navie ones truly believe that every one should have freedom to choose what they are gonna eat,why they force people to stop eatting meat and eat vegan? It turns out that neither do those protesters care about speech freedom nor environmental protection, let alone the animals'rights! Because it is a dilemma!
Pretty Funny Critique of Veganism
unclesamsavage19 October 2019
Oh, the irony brought in this season reaches yet another stretch of 21st century politics. This episode tries to shed light on the unfortunate truth that a lot of vegans seem content to eat the same processed crap that is just as bad for them as processed red meat. The story also tries to demonstrate how a lot of vegans do not really care about animals.
It also confronts a necessary economic consequence of a society turning to an entirely plant-based diet: what happens to all the animals? Who is supposed to take care of them? The cattle rancher surely cannot anymore because he makes his money off selling the cows' meat. The show takes an extreme solution to these questions to demonstrate the lack of true care for the animals and environment vegans often say they want to protect. Really makes you think, huh?
I have really enjoyed this season of SP thus far. I think the serial nature works well, but I do agree with some other viewers in that I miss episodes that revolved around the four boys. That seems to be mostly lost post-20th season.

Warning: Spoilers
I don't think killing a bunch of cows in the middle of the night will be any easier when on weed, on the contrary. Besides that, the scene wasn't funny. Also, I feel they where trying to cram a message down my throat as in "look how hypocritical those vegans are!" But it felt undeserved. I'm no vegan and I don't think anyone should be a vegan, but there's something to be said for replacing some of our meat with plant based alternatives. If you're going to make fun of that, better make it actually funny or have a legitimate point, or both. This fell flat.
Booooooooring

Trey and Matt, please drop the Tegrity farms plot.
aptcatex28 October 2019
The villianisation of Randy has made him so unbearable and yet he has become the protagonist of the show. Every episode of this season is "Randy is greedy so does _____, that involves a play-on weed of ______".
Just stop.
Just stop.
The magic is gone.
c_rusche17 October 2019
The Tegridy Farms plot has become the over-arching A-plot for this entire season, with the stale character of Towlie in toe. Even replacing the opening theme song to center around Randy's weed ranch. The show has taken the subject of 'pot' (and red-eyed middle-aged stoners) and made it the central focus spanning multiple seasons. It no longer has broad appeal to a large audience. It seems to intend only to entertain a niche portion therein. Don't listen to the shills who want to gaslight you this crap is still 'brilliant.' It's not. It's terrible. It's dull. And it's unfunny. I didn't laugh once. The characters get minimal screen time, especially the boys. Everyone is put on the back burner to follow Randy and his shenanigans (which don't even allow for variety.) It's all weed, all the time. All Randy, all the time. Show is a shell of it's former self, and everything feels hollow.
What was that

Warning: Spoilers
Certainly this season is one the best in the last decade and there are some episodes such as this one that are simple but very funny. Instead of taking focus on Tegrity, the plot drives around Cartman and his obsesion with eating processed food. His friends try to cover up the introduction of the new goo that the school cafeteria is using until he discovers the truth.
It has several jokes mixed in with a very accurate ending which wraps up the plot in an exquisite manner: concluding that both the plant-based as well as the animal goo given in school are suitable for Cartman.

Best episode this season so far

Warning: Spoilers
The synopsis is that Randy creates the new plant-based "Tegridy Burger" while Cartman blames the new cafeteria menu for his heart attacks.
I don't usually enjoy the Tegridy Farms plots, but their plot in this episode was extremely humorous. Unlike their other plots this season it was very funny and it actually related to the B plot of the episode. I liked how the Farm was portrayed as an actual farm and not as a joke where the only joke is Randy yelling "TEGRIDY!"
The B plot with Cartman, in my opinion, was just as funny and if not better than the Tegridy Farms plot. I especially liked the overall message of how no matter what type of meat you're eating, whether it's meat or plant-based, it is still being processed and made in a factory. I really like how this show is making me more aware of issues like these, because they make me more vocal in the real world.
Overall, "Let Them Eat Goo" is hands down the best episode this season so far, and hopefully there will be more episodes like it this season.

This episodes features the South Park school's cafeteria being changed to vegan. Cartman doesn't like that and has to be hospitalized twice. I can associate with him. I had a seizure and had to go to the hospital too! Randy gives new burgers that are made of marijuana so even though they taste bad no one cares. The funniest part was at the end when he and Towelie were killing the cows.
I would have liked to see Mickey Mouse. I really liked the bits with Winnie The Pooh. I guess I haven't heard about this in the news much. I have no idea if this is what Burger King really does. I know what goes on in the news. Great to see Towelie contribute to the story. ***
