| Goofs | The five biggest financial contributors to Eurovision go straight to the final without going through the semi-finals. These countries are Spain, France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, the so called "Big Five". In the film, Spain and the UK sing in the semifinals, something that has never happened in the history of the festival. The result screen also shows all the Big 5, while in the real contest they would only be shown at the finals. Also, the host country has a guaranteed place in the final too. Since the contest was being held in Edinburgh, that means the UK would have been in the final anyway even if it wasn't already a member of the Big-5. See more » |
