Stephen Merchant who plays Neil, the head accountant, is seen with a coffee mug that says "Existence's Best Boss", a play on words of the "World's Best Boss" mug from The Office (2001). Stephen Merchant was the co-creator of the UK version.
Janet and Michael are surprised that Doug has so few points, however it would make sense for him to have few points because he is trying to get into the Good Place. Therefore, his motivation would be corrupt.
Please give D'Arcy every possible award for this episode. Even the first 10 minutes of it would be enough proof that she's a comedy gem.
The script was absolutely brilliant. Directing and acting were outstanding.
One of the very best episodes of any series this year, and I'd have to go back a lot to find any other being this good.
