In Video Psycho I learned there are some people trusting enough to not only pick up random hitchhikers and let them stay at their house but also lend them the keys to their house and car after they show them a video of them murdering someone and after you claim it's fake they adamantly insist that it's a real snuff video. Also, maybe after they kill another person you know and film it while wearing a mask and plant evidence that would implicate you to keep you from reporting them it would be a good idea to call the police anyways.
Ryan is the hitchhiker and Jason is the trusting idiot who lets him stay with him, his girlfriend and his sexy sister Kylie. Despite already having one weenie as a boyfriend and hating the dude Kylie has Ryan lusting after her almost immediately. She is pretty darn cute, like a much, much prettier Rose Leslie. She even has an extended shower scene where you don't get to see much more than her shoulders. In the behind the scenes footage you see she even wore a bikini for the scene. Video Psycho is totally lacking in nudity and also very lacking in gore. The killings are mostly strangulations with a couple of not very bloody knifings thrown in. While in no way good the unrealistic and goofy story is kind of fun and the acting isn't too abominable for something with actors who never did anything else made for the amount of change found in the average couch. I enjoyed the main musical theme even if it was repetitive and about the only music in the film. The film does commit one unforgivable sin by having a scene set in a video store without lingering on any horror titles like a good low budget horror film should. Coming in at just under an hour Video Psycho is nothing special or really even good in a sleazy/gory sort of way it's still worth seeing for aficionados of ultra low budget regional (Yakima, WA) films.
