Shining Light on Role Model, Inner City Service
The First Methodist Church of Temple, Texas serves the inner city with innovative, effective, role-modeling assistance for the restoration of souls and bodies of individuals and families. These provisions include food and housing, as well as comprehensive renewing help in partnership with other inner-city organizations and churches for those who are struggling that include the homeless, sex-trafficked, veterans and others with the following: safety, health care, therapy, employment helps, care for children and much more.

Shining Light on State-International Outreach, Relief

The life of First Methodist provides many ministries to all ages: traditional and contemporary worship services; Mothers' Day Out/Parents Night Out; music and arts groups/ministries; prayer groups/breakfasts/constructing prayer blankets; food pantry; services for the hospitalized/facility-bound/home-bound, youth group, holiday festivities, library, museum, Biblical storytelling for healing heart-wounds/building community and more.

Around the main sanctuary are luminous stained glass windows that tell the life stories of Christ and his apostles. There are also wonderful sculptures on the campus and in the church. There are other works of art throughout the church that inspire Christian faith.
