Amateur Australian chefs compete to impress patisserie chef Adriano Zumbo with their sweet creations. Those who don't fit the brief go head to head in the 'Zumbo test' to replicate his unique desserts.
Immersive history series focusing on one of World War II's most covert organisations, Britain's Special Operations Executive. A group of modern-day volunteers undertake the SOE agent training programme.
The show is probably very helpful for the young entrepreneurs. And for that alone would be worth continuing it. But for the viewer it is junk. It is slow. It cheats with cheap artifice: just moving to the second reel once something is about to happen. And the French accent of the main guy, please!
So the show has potential. But it is such a disappointment! One does not get how the recipes are done. Fair enough, maybe the cooks don't want to. One does not get the ins and outs of the restaurant business. Maybe there is also a reason for that. And the list goes on. There are a lot of things that one does not get. And losing half an hour of vague entertainment is no gain either.
