Annie is a bar owner on the brink of bankruptcy when her delinquent brother shows up with a lucrative offer in hand; a gold heist worth half a million dollars. She agrees despite their turbulent family history - and the fact that she's dating a cop. After several colossal missteps, Ben, Annie, and a few of their cohorts must dodge bullets and blades from the gold-mining backwoods brothers they stole from.
Because the film was completed only months before COVID-19 hit, the filmmakers decided to bypass the festival circuit and try for distribution immediately. I went into this movie knowing it was an independent film. Which 99% of the time leads to disappointment. From the first scene I was hooked! Very fun movie! If you enjoy Guy Richie films or Fargo you will enjoy this movie! Fast paced movie. Shorter at 69 minutes but it is unnoticeable. I would have given this 10 stars for an indie film, but towards the end there are a few scenes that could use a little more explaining. For the most part, the acting was really good! Cinematography, sound very good! Editing was perfect! All in all a must watch indie film!
