It is underdog story and leaves you feeling good. I didn't expect this ki d of performance from Adi but he delivered amazing performance both as a director and actor. Title track is also good and used in good way as background score.
Must watch for marathi movie lovers. Also, it is not an art film as you would expect. I started it thinking will watch with fast forward but it kept me engaged enough to watch it in one go! Good screenplay, good direction. Story is obviously good. Love story angle is imp for storyline and used that way.
All in all, good cinema in marathi after a while. Don't miss this one.

"Excellent acting and direction by Adinath Kothare, and Rucha Vaidya also delivered a commendable performance. If you're a fan of inspiring films like Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, or Padman, then Paani is a must-watch. Based on a true story, this uplifting movie maintains its pace without a dull moment. Adinath Kothare truly shines with a remarkable performance. It's disappointing that despite the availability of such impactful content, many Marathi viewers might still be attracted to Bollywood's typical fare. Paani offers a refreshing experience that leaves you feeling inspired and empowered."
I started seeing this movie with some perception. I was expecting a representation of a social issue and a resolution towards it, and expected a one time watch movie. But when I started watching it, it grabbed my nerves within few mins . The way of representation is excellent. Screenplay, dialogues, acting, drama, direction is just outstanding. I was getting a feeling like I am watching 'Lagaan' with a proper adaptation of local existing issue. Hats off to Adinath Kothare !!! Social issue and love story goes hand in hand, and both feels incomplete without each other. Nothing overpowers other. The way everything is blended and balanced in this movie is just amazing !!! I am going to watch it again for sure.
I really don't know what happened to the people choice these days, but if this movie is not going to impact your thought process and if this movie doesn't shake you from inside, then consider that you have started loosing humanity. So go for it , watch it and test your human feelings are still alive or hijacked with the noise around you.

Paani Marathi Movie: A Cinematic Gem with a Heartfelt Message
"Paani" is more than just a movie; it's an evocative tale that intertwines the socio-environmental issues of water scarcity with human resilience and emotions. Directed by Adinath Kothare and produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, this Marathi film captures the raw essence of life in drought-stricken villages while highlighting the power of community and determination.
Set in a remote Maharashtrian village grappling with acute water shortages, the movie narrates the journey of a young boy, Chintu (portrayed by Addinath Kothare himself), who dreams of bringing water to his parched land. The narrative beautifully weaves his personal struggles with the broader issue of water scarcity, delivering a strong social message that resonates deeply in today's era of climate change.
