From BBC iPlayer: Growing up, Beth Winters was caught between two warring parents, her Catholic mother Catherine having married her Protestant step-father Billy when she was already pregnant by an unknown Catholic man. On her 23rd birthday, her mother long dead, Beth has planned to escape the claustrophobic grip of Billy and their closed community by running away with charming, mysterious Liam Ward. But with the hour of reckoning fast approaching, can Beth hold her nerve?
When Beth helps Liam Ward extract his livestock from a bog, the beast can be heard to low, although there is no motion to indicate it is alive. Once pulled out, Beth points out to Liam it is dead so he doesn't waste any more time trying to clean it up. The implication in the conversation is that it might well have been dead for some time, so it couldn't have made any sound. See more »
