This is relatable on so many levels, as I'm in age when everyone tries so much to glue themselves to someone in order to settle down and fulfill classic cliche expectations, they often forget about their own ambitions on the way.
The movie highlights it can be fun to focus on making yourself happy and successful first, as we don't necessarily need other person to live a good quality life.
I loved the ending and wish there were more inspiring stories out there that contradict what often makes us miserable.
Let's end this biased ageism for good, people. Let's just live !!!

I didn't know what to expect with this film and it blew me away. So many emotions. So well written and acted. I loved it.
I liked this movie. I will say, it's made for people who like romantic comedies, that is the target audience. Also, it wasn't really funny. It contains one laugh-out-loud moment, which was also included in the trailer.
Regardless, I had a good time watching, it's sort of a look at a 39-year-old woman finding her way in life and just seeing her get used to probably ending up alone. The main character is not the most likeable person in the world, but I could sympathize with her. The movie contains a lot of coded messages, no doubt aiming to educate and inspire the moure young viewers, but they do stick out in a noticeable way when you watch as an adult.
The good part about the film was how comforting it was, it demonstrated that you can find contentment in life just by prioritizng your own wants. It's not the most life-changing movie you will ever see, but it was a nice way to pass the time.

First off, the fact this movie has a 5.1 review score is ridiculous. This film is not so much a romcom as it is a realistic portrayal of how and where women can find value in different areas of their lives in the absence of romantic relationships. If is really well acted, and Chelsea Perretti hits all the right marks.
It felt to me like this film was more about the substance rather than the style.
What I took from it was the realisation of the stigma and pressure that we as a society put on single women who don't want to have kids. This is an important message however it felt like they started off with this and said, okay let's build our story and characters around it in order to further explain this message, as opposed to having the foundation of the story and characters in place first.
So for most of the film I felt like it was trying to get this message across to me by creating characters with different view points so our main protagonist could make her point. This in turn took away any real interest in the story or connection with the characters and made it feel like I was watching little snippets of interactions.
If you are a Chelsea Pretti fan, or someone who enjoys a slow paced rom-com, then you will like it. For me personally I'm on the fence. Yes bits of it were good but collectively it just didn't grab my attention.
