Spread across the country, the three adult Marvin sisters are convening on the family home in Woodstock, Vermont for a two week Christmas gathering as they have traditionally done. Tradition is a big part of the family, especially around the holidays. Widowed now for three years, the eldest Megan, an executive chef, and her adolescent daughter Ivy will be flying in from their home in Austin, Texas, where they moved for Megan's now deceased husband's James' job, they probably staying in Woodstock otherwise despite the greater professional opportunities for Megan herself in Austin. While Megan likes what she does, she doesn't much like the owner of the restaurant where she works, although she is not mentally yet prepared to open her own restaurant. At the beginning when Bethany and her husband are in the car driving, close-ups of Bethany show her wearing skin colored lipstick. But the longer shots through the windshield show her wearing a deeper Rose colored lipstick. The camera goes back and forth from inside the car and from outside the car, so it's obvious. See more »
Really wanted to like, but was lollipop boring. Sister singing was lame.
