3/10 stars. Torpid, goes nowhere

Since the other review so far is from a single use account, with account created to write one single gushing review and then abandoned, you can bet it is a shill review. ironically that review seems to have more time invested in it than the entire "Rare Beasts Film" which is an insipid, narcissistic waste of time by a once well known person who mistook the public interest in her sex appeal a decade ago for talent. Firstly the quirkiness in this film is so patently artificial, insincere and forced it is cringeworthy. You can see it is there as an artificial element to make up for real story, and developed character. Even the misogyny of Piper's love interest, I guess at some mid point added in to try and "save" this mess by turning it into an "anti-RomCom" isn't credible. Really, if you once had a minimum amount of talent as an actor PLEASE do not assume you can write or direct when you have no story to tell and no talent to tell it with.
