Part five contains the unexpected, and events I expected to have happened much earlier. So finally we see the true feelings Samuel has for Kathleen. Even young Sasha is enchanted by her charisma and beauty.
Arguably, this was the fastest paced episode, slightly unusual for Poliakoff, as it was quite dramatic, and full of intrigue. As always though, it's the characters that are so rich, and enchanting, each one has a story to tell, literally everyone in it has something going on, events that all seem to be reaching a climax.
So many questions, is that her son? will Hannah meet someone? and most of all, who really is the bad guy? Is Samuel being duped by Wallington or Field? I am so excited for the finale.
Mark Bonnar and Timothy Spall have stood out, everyone else is wonderful, but these two seem to be acting against type, superbly. Young Toby Woolf is incredible.
Captivating drama. 9/10
