UK’s E4 Strikes First-Look Development Deal With ‘Youngers’ Stars Percelle Ascott and Joivan Wade

Youth-skewing British broadcaster E4 has struck a first-look development deal with the production team behind YouTube channel Wall of Comedy and stars of hit teen drama Youngers.

It has inked the overall del with Percelle Ascott and Joivan Wade, who run Wall of Production with Tafara Makopa. The deal will see the company develop a raft of scripted and non-scripted projects at the Channel 4-backed network as it looks to bolster its programming for younger audiences.

The deal is unusual in the UK as overall development deals with broadcasters are few and far between.

The pair star and co-produce online drama Shiro’s Story and they starred in Youngers, which aired on E4. Ascott is also the lead in Netflix series The Innocents, whilst Wade is the lead in Warner Bros. and DC Comics’ series Doom Patrol.

Wade said, “This is a great time for us and now working

Comic-Con — 10 Burning Questions: Will ‘Game of Thrones’ Get Booed? What’s Marvel Cooking Up?
It’s summertime, which means San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter will heat up for the annual Comic-Con celebration of all things geek. The event has grown from its humbler roots of comic books and collectibles to be a full-fledged media extravaganza, where TV production companies and movie studios descend upon the welcoming, cosplaying masses to display their wares. It’s become a can’t-miss opportunity to debut new series, announce important casting, or unveil the next big blockbuster.

What does Comic-Con 2019 have in store now that two of the biggest franchises – “Game of Thrones” and “Avengers” – have wrapped up? And how will troubled productions or celebrities recoup their reputations? IndieWire’s TV team will be on the ground in San Diego to pose (and hopefully answer) these questions and more:

How will “Game of Thrones” fans demonstrate their anger over the disappointing final season?

Because of the longer production schedule

Titans: The Complete First Season Blu-Ray Review

Despite the fact that a fair amount of geeks have seen the original series housed by the DC Universe streaming service, I’ve often wished they’d be enjoyed by a wider audience. Granted, the limited reach comes with the territory of being a niche platform, but I remember turning to a friend during a jam-packed Lucifer panel at Motor City Comic Con this past May and saying something like “if only all these people watched Doom Patrol.”

Okay, this review obviously isn’t about Doom Patrol (though they will be discussed in a bit), but you get my point. And now, with Titans: The Complete First Season‘s home video release upon us, the masses have their chance to get in on the ground floor for something that may prove to be as magical as The CW’s Arrowverse.

Before I delve into the product itself, I’d like

What Could We Expect from Season 2 of DC’s Doom Patrol?

Hasitha Fernando on what we might expect from a second season of Doom Patrol

As of yet the fledgling DC streaming service has yet to green light season 2 of Doom Patrol, but with strong critical and audience approval ratings there is a chance that it will eventually happen (despite the cancellation of fellow series Swamp Thing after airing just a single episode). If so, then here’s a rundown of what we could expect from the second season of Doom Patrol.

Dorothy Spinner

At the conclusion of ‘Ezekiel Patrol’, we are briefly introduced to Dr. Niles Caulder’s daughter Dorothy Spinner. In the comics she was a member of the Doom Patrol who possessed the power to bring imaginary beings to life. As was seen in the finale, it was she who was responsible for transforming Ezekiel the cockroach and Admiral Whiskers the rat, to Kaiju sized monsters which even Mr.

WB To Present Farewell Celebrations For Arrow And Supernatural At Comic-Con 2019

San Diego Comic-Con may play host to major movie announcements, sure, but let’s not forget how we’re going to be treated to a ton of TV news and subsequent trailers in a matter of weeks. In other words, it’s Christmas in July for fans of Arrow, its sisters shows, and the cult favorite Supernatural.

Speaking of which, odds are you’ve heard about how both of those long-running series just mentioned will come to an end next season. In the case of Arrow, it’ll be wrapping it up with its eighth run, whereas Supernatural will be checking out after its fifteenth. Though the latter hung in there for nearly twice as long, both durations are incredibly impressive.

That said, Warner Bros. are making sure this year’s Sdcc presentations are done right, as they’ll be celebrating these outgoing shows that have captivated the imaginations of viewers far and wide.

On the animated side, the studio will be showing footage from “DC Superhero Girls,” “Harley Quinn,” “Teen Titans Go!,” and “Young Justice: Outsiders.”

Batwoman” and “Pennyworth” will be watched particularly closely, as they are both world premieres that follow iconic characters from the Batman universe. “Batwoman” is an instantly recognizable protagonist,
