The battle of Alamance took place on May 16, 1771. Since Jamie had his birthday the day before, that means Jamie Fraser's birthday is May 15, 1721. In the outlander novels, Jamie Fraser's birthday is actually May 1, 1721.

Goofs
When Brianna was telling her parents and Roger about the Battle of Alamance Roger goes to tell Murtagh. When she was sharing the info Roger's beard was short with not a lot of hair, but when he arrives to warn Murtagh which is supposed to be the same day or at least shortly after his beard is significantly hairier.

Best Episode of the Season

A simply brilliant episode. Best of the season so far and among the best of the series. This is the Outlander I know and love. Excellent storytelling with surprises and heartache. A shout out to Sam Heughan and Duncan Lacroix for superb acting.
