Several times during the film main characters travel between Windermere and Gloucester. It's shown to take quite some time by train, which is factually accurate. Yet, it is shown to be a very short journey by car. Mr MacGregor especially is seen to gin on a short journey in his old Land Rover to confront Mr Jones. In reality it would be 3-4 hours each way. This film has a lot of things going against it: kids' movie, sequel, etc. Complete surprise to me, I enjoyed it! There are jokes for adults, very funny scenes, and an ending which (deliberately) gives itself away. Throw in a Green Day song... I'd be happy to watch this several hundred more times when my kid wants the DVD.
