    Summed up in one sentence

I absolutely hated this episode, and my thoughts on this episode can pretty much be summed up in one sentence (from the "I May as Well Jump" song from Bender's Big Score): "Cram it down and shut the hell up!"

I so badly wanted to say that to Lisa when she was getting to the point of idolizing Homer and rubbing it in people's faces, but I'm just a guy behind a computer screen, so the next best thing is to just leave this episode 1 star (and, by the way, the rating is non negotiable, meaning I will NEVER rate this any higher than 1 star).

    Well done

One of the best episodes of the last season. Lots of subtexts to enjoy.

People need to let it go. If you compare every episode of 'The Simpsons' that has been made since the golden era (for me roughly Series 4-11) then you are going to be disappointed, there's no doubt about it.

Constantly moaning about the show in its current form will do nobody any good.

This was a fine episode, it had lots of nice moments. I laughed out loud on numerous occasions (I'm a sucker for any joke involving Ralph) and plots involving Lisa and Homer always has a nice heart to it.

So overall, I liked this episode. It might not be a popular opinion, but I did. It was one of the 'better ones'.

It was good as always but not the high class. Still interesting to watch.

    Wholesome episode

I think this episode was something new in a while and really enjoyed the episode and it was something Lisa looking up to her father as a hero and all the repercussion that follows it was good work.

    • Goofs
Early in the episode Lisa discusses plot points of "To Kill a Mockingbird" to which Homer responds, "Spoiler alert!" and then informing her that he hasn't read the book. However, in the season 15 episode Diatribe of a Mad Housewife (2004), Homer says, "And I swore never to read again after 'To Kill a Mockingbird' gave me no useful advice on killing mockingbirds. It did teach me not to judge a man based on the color of his skin, but what good does that do me?"
