Let's Have Another Look at Your Past Perfect

The path of two lesbian love never runs smoothly. It is an old television trope, one of them does just as they think they are about to walk off to the sunset.

For Anne Lister she needs to see off Miss Walker's newly widowed suitor, Reverend Ainsworth the man who forced himself on Ann Walker.

However the episode gets lost with the toing and froing between Anne and Ann. Miss Walker is scared, afraid that loving and living with Anne Lister is wrong. She constantly has second thoughts especially as she is easily manipulated by others.

The episode certainly ends with a wallop with Anne Lister on the warpath. However I did think here that the series has been stretched as an eight parter.
