Storyline

Holy Places TV is taking you on a tour of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the heart of the holy city of Jerusalem Located in the Christian quarter of Jerusalem, on a small narrow square, stuck between the houses of the old town, and at the foot of a minaret, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher stands up at the end of Via Dolorosa. Arriving at the 10 th station, the Holy Sepulcher contains the 4 last stations of the Way of the Cross. The different stations are marked with round plates on the walls and doors. The Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher is shared between several Christian churches (Catholic, Armenian, Syrian, Coptic, Ethiopian...). However, the Orthodox Greeks occupy the greater part of the edifice as they ensure the maintenance of the tomb. At the central place of all Christendom's faith, in 135 CE, the emperor Hadrian erected a pagan temple dedicated to Venus Aphrodite, erasing all Jewish and Christian remembrances.
