Trivia

At the end of the episode, Ash leaves Voq's son on the planet Boreth at a Klingon monastery. In "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987), Worf will visit the monastery in Rightful Heir (#6.23). See more »

Goofs

Stametts says Tilly is harboring a eukaryotic organism, which is taken to mean a fungus. This is not what "eukaryotic" means -- eukaryotic organisms includes all fungi, plants, and animals, and presumably many of the extraterrestrial species on Star Trek. See more »

Quotes

Captain Christopher Pike: I reported Spock's advance knowledge of the signals to Command. The information likely made its way back to the Ambassador, along with the news that his son admitted himself into a psychiatric hospital.
Michael Burnham: You didn't betray your friend, Captain. You followed protocol.
Captain Christopher Pike: It's easy to say, harder to believe.

Klingon Filler
1 February 2019 | by black-wolf-riseSee all my reviews

Ok so as far as Klingon episodes of Discovery go this was an improvement but still problamatic from a continuity standpoint. They most spoke english dialogue which was an improvement over the plodding subtitle scenes off the first season but the story overall felt out of place with what this season has shown us this far.

The Spock stuff while interesting was also rife with more continuity issues and felt like padding to fill out the episode. Also the camera work was extremely over the top this week. Bring back Johnathon Frakes.

Over all this episode felt like filler and wasn't as good as the first two episodes. 6/10
