The marketing of the film was met with major controversy after its opening. The marketing of this art film was targeted massively towards the general public, instead of art film lovers. This film was at the Hawaii International Film Festival and viewing it was like being in the video game Doom moving through dark spaces and wet moldy rooms. There was no chemistry between the 2 main characters and it was not evident why the main character was so determined to find her when there was nothing about her to generate a feeling of sympathy or desire. Her character was empty and void of any charm or depth. It was stated the movie was filmed in a unique way but it didn't appear to be visually stunning or interesting. This film is a gloomy mess of uninteresting characters and very painful to watch.
