The film was originally going to be broken up into sections that appeared on the screen (Opening, Act One, Act Two, Epilogue). Realbuto loved that concept, but director Rob Margolies scrapped the idea, citing that it's been done too many times before and that if it didn't add to the artistic integrity of the film, then it simply wasn't necessary.
