In 1988, Philadelphia police officer Thomas Lockhart (Boyd Holbrook), hungry to become a detective, begins tracking a serial killer who mysteriously resurfaces every nine years. But when the killer's crimes begin to defy all scientific explanation, Locke's obsession with finding the truth threatens to destroy his career, his family, and possibly his sanity.Written by
When Locke reached the surface, he begins swimming towards some lights on shore, which appears about half a mile away (if not more). As he begins swimming, you can clearly see a strong current in a river, which he has to cross. Additionally, when he comes to shore, strong waves (as if they are from an ocean) are coming towards shore; 90° different from the strong river current. See more »
Its ironical that people are rating this low because it is alleged that it has a political message of 'wipe out an opposite view' , have they been hiding under a rock since cinema began? Most films before I was even born have been about one enemy wiping out another, morality has not been the premise of most films through cinematic history . This is simply an action film not based on real life, its obviously not a true story , the heart of it is simply the idea that if you were to, for instance, wipe out Hitler or his parents you potentially save millions of people from all different backgrounds. so do you wipe out the few or let the millions die? apparently , according to some outraged reviewers, its immoral to wipe out the few for the greater good, well that's a good moral discussion to have in the public arena but its not the purpose of this or hardly any other film, so I guess the moral high horse is pointless in a fictional story, though I suppose these films serve a good purpose in opening up the debate so I'll give it a 7 . Watch the film, enjoy it, its a good story , somewhat predictable at times but a good twist in the end.
