Edit
At a budget of $150 million, this is the second most expensive film ever produced by Netflix, following Martin Scorsese's The Irishman (2019) which was budgeted at $175 million.
A year prior to the release Ryan Reynolds posted a video on Instagram of himself talking about how quiet Michael Bay's movies are, while in the background a car explodes. This scene is in the movie (at about the 14:40 mark) and you can actually see Reynolds in the background filming the video for this post.
The ghost symbol on the side of the plane in the opening montage is the insignia of the Ghost Army, a special forces group in WWII that used sound recording, false radio chatter and prop equipment set ups to fool German forces about U.S. military troop strengths and positions.
The opening car chase was originally meant to be shot in Rome, but the filmmakers decided against it due to the large amount of potholes on the streets. Florence was picked as a location instead, with some shots filmed in Siena.
A bottle of Aviation Gin is shown on the bar in the Paris opera house. Aviation is partially owned by Ryan Reynolds (One).
