Quotes

Spike: Um, Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle: Oh. Hi. Where's your father?
Spike: He's gone. Turns out he wasn't what a real dragon should be after all. He also wasn't my real dad.
Twilight Sparkle: [They hug in sympathy] Oh, Spike. I'm so sorry.

This was good

This episode features a dragon coming to Equestria that claims to be Spike's father. It is a pit too predictable. He tries to teach Spike how to be a real dragon. He ends up just manipulating him showing how lazy he is. There were a lot of good moments in this episode. I loved it when Pinkie Pie kept singing that note.

We even saw Twilight's heart literally break! It's nice to see Spike learn how to use his wings at the beginning too. Sludge is a pretty good guest character. I like the art shift with the flashback. It was easy to tell what was going on. Even the Mane 6 knew. ***
