Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal

I am quite certain that unlike other Malayalam actors Dulquer has his set of fans who make it a point to watch his movies in Theater's irrespective of how bad the reviews are. If they remade Tarzan:The wonder car with Dulquer as the voice of the car even that would make money. On the one hand it is good for the producers because all his movies make money but as an actor you end up acting in one average movie after the other. The last two Dulquer movies that I watched Varane Avashyamund and Oru Yamandan Premakatha were both extremely ordinary. The latter is one of the worst movies that I have watched in a long long time. To even refer to Oru Yamandan Premakatha as a movie would be insulting to over a century of movie-making.

So I started watching Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal with very little expectation. Fortunately its a very entertaining movie. Its not the smartest heist movie around but it is really easy to sit through. The whole long con could have been written better. There were far too many variables for it to be a convincing plan and a lot of it is really over the top. The humour and editing make up for a lot of the loopholes in the plot. Couple of great songs and really competent acting all around. Not a bad way to spend 21/2 hours.
