A prominent clue in this episode is purportedly one of General George S. Patton's "beloved pearl-handled Colt" revolvers. Patton owned various ivory-handled handguns, but eschewed the pearl-handled variety: "Only a pimp from a cheap New Orleans whorehouse would carry a pearl-handled pistol." It was something Gibbs, Ducky, or the billionaire collector would and should know.. Interestingly, the prop pistol does not appear to have pearl grips. See more
