When Joe is dragged into the middle of a double murder case, Bancroft determines to do anything to protect her son and finds herself up against a chilling new antagonist.
Does Joe have anything to to with the murder of his girlfriend's wealthy father and stepmother? Elizabeth Bancroft is prepared to do anything to keep her son safe.
I thought the standard here was better than we had in the first series, somehow this was sharper, bigger and bolder. Bancroft is back, and she's up to her old tricks, she really is monster with no conscience.
Some very twisted ideas, and a few shocking scenes, the attempted acid attack in particular.
This was a great way to numb out New Year's Day.
