Before watching it, I thought it was going to be similar to "Annabelle" or at least "Dead Silence" (both directed by James Wan btw), but it felt like a mash of two different movies mashed into one, being a thriller-horror movie with a bit of essence of an dramatic (*cough* action *cough*) film.
The camera work was decent though, the poor SFX was compensated by a good use of practical ones to some extent, the score of the movie was weird (the scene with the dagger exposition doesn't mix well with the scenes before and after), and the acting was somewhat solid (Can't say anything else about the acting cuz i don't speak their language).
My biggest complaint is the plot. Let me explain: the movie starts fine with a scene that is very relevant for the story down the road, then it proceeds to introduce our "main" cast and what is the situation, and all and all it looks to be pretty good, then, midway through it introduces us to two characters that seem to be supportive roles and, out of nowhere, brings us their backstory as well as the antagonist's and, well, it has a weird ending; though quite functional, it loses focus on who the main character, or better yet, the protagonist is and shows character development with either A) no foreshadowing or B) just because they need motivation. (I really was asking myself who were their parents and which of the adults was related to either). The only thing I would say is that the protagonist is the freaking ghost but even then I'm sure I'd be partially right.
Overall, the movie works and is interesting with plot that has structure yet lacks focus on who's story is it about (And at least a bit of foreshadowing), it has decent work behind the cameras (except for the music selection, that needs to be change) and at least can keep me intrigued (almost) all the way through.
Watch it if you are intrigued.
