Trivia

The scene involving Lenny Bruce on Steve Allen's show, is a recreation of his actual appearance and routine, though here it's cut shorter than it was. In real life he performed the "kids huffing glue, as "George Macready" bit that is seen in the Mrs. Maisel pilot. The Steve Allen episode aired April 5, 1959, months before it supposedly happens in this show, and can be found online. See more »

Goofs

When Miriam dances with Joel after accepting his proposal, the street is wet with rain. Miriam 'Midge' Maisel: Yeah, I know what you mean.
Lenny Bruce: Sometimes I think, is it worth it.
Miriam 'Midge' Maisel: And sometimes I think, no.
Lenny Bruce: I'm Sisyphus, without the fabulous hair and the loin cloth, pushing that boulder up that hill, over and over and over.
Miriam 'Midge' Maisel: Try it in heals.

wow! the 2nd season is so off the mark and disappointing

The show look and sound and production and skills of the players continue to thrill. But the writing is just lame compared to season one. I doubt we'll return for S3.
