Sex & Nudity

  • References to testicles and eunuchs.
  • A woman wears a skimpy outfit of short shorts and a crop top revealing cleavage and her midriff (same as the first movie, though not the whole time).
  • A seductive woman addresses Bravestone, talks of their time together in the past and they share (more than one) passionate kiss. They say to follow her, she has a clue, and he says he would very much like to "give her a clue".
  • A man and a woman share a passionate kiss.
  • A boy and a girl share a quick kiss at the end.

Violence & Gore

  • Moderate action violence including punches, acrobatic kicks and use of nunchucks. The fighting is exaggerated (characters often fly across the screen or through walls, for example).
  • People are "killed" or lose lives in the game - Eaten by large animals, blown up, falling to their deaths - the same as the last movie.
  • 2 people are threatened to have their heads chopped off and are pushed down onto a table, scimiter drawn.
  • A man pulls bloody chunks of meat out of a bag and throws it to the Hyenas, and then tells the soldiers that the meat was their old master. Pretty gross.
  • Some of the deaths in the first half of the movie are quite gruesome, that could easily be too much for someone under 10 years old. When the characters die, the quickly dissolve into dust and blood, although briefly, it is still somewhat violent.

Profanity

  • Frequent uses of "damn", "hell", and "goddamn"
  • Other strong language includes "testicles", "Shit", "balls"
  • Frequently used "Oh my God". "Christ" is used as a swear word once by grandpa Eddie (Danny DeVito), being the first word he utters when opening front door in the first act.
  • One distinct exclamation of "Holy shit" towards the end of the movie - used for comedic affect
  • Many uses of "goddamn" and "goddammit". One Use of "holy shit"
  • There is a significantly higher amount of language in this movie compared to its predecessor

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A pack of angry mandrills and a herd of stampeding ostriches attack the heroes.
  • Several characters 'die', often in a brief shower of red liquid, but respawn almost immediately.
  • The villain threatens to behead a couple of characters. He also feeds what is said to be human meat to some hyenas.
  • Rated PG-13 For Language throughout, dark action violence throughout, and some minor sexual jokes and genital references.
  • This film is much darker than the previous two films, with more action and violence, more profanity, more suggestive humor and more intense scenes, but the tone is still rather goofy, campy and comedic.
