Oddly enough, if you guessed any of those three, you’d be totally wrong. Turns out, Hollywood’s most successful figure has yet to play a traditional comic book superhero.

As detailed by Forbes, the man who earned the most money as an actor was, in fact, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Between June 1st, 2018, and June 1st, 2019, he banked a whopping $89.4 million. This isn’t entirely shocking, either, considering some of Johnson’s movies have gone on to gross well over (or close to) $1 billion, including The Fate of the Furious and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

To help maximize his paycheck, Dwayne have hammered out a formula that capitalizes on his stardom. Not only does he get an

This Holiday Season's Must See Movies in Theaters
As most movie fans know Tim Burton came up with the idea for The Nightmare Before Christmas while doing some shopping as Halloween decorations were quickly replaced with their yuletide counterparts, resulting in a momentary mishmash of the two.

With that in mind, it isn't too crazy to start talking about This Holiday Season's Must See Movies, right? Sure it's only August but let's face it: our anticipation for Star Wars Episode IX started building back in 2012 when Disney snatched up Lucasfilm for $4 billion space credits.

Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker will take us back to that galaxy far, far away to wrap up the Skywalker family story with at least some degree of finality, even as a whole universe's worth of Disney+ streaming shows and spin-off trilogies await in the wings.

Moviegoers will travel to a very different theater of war with Oscar bait historical drama 1917. December also

The Rock's Black Adam Movie Will Finally Shoot Late Next Year

It's been a very long time coming, but the Black Adam movie is finally, if all goes well, going to shoot next year. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been attached to the role for the better part of a decade. Originally, he was supposed to star as the villain in Shazam. However, it was decided a couple of years back that the character should first get his own movie before duking it out with the DC hero. Now, according to producer Hiram Garcia, this project is, at long last, getting off the ground.

Dwayne Johnson is starring in the Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, which arrives in theaters this weekend. Johnson and the movie's creative team have been making the press rounds to promote it. Johnson's longtime producing partner Hiram Garcia was asked during a recent interview about the success of Shazam! this year and what that means for Black Adam.

Behind the Scenes of Universal’s First ‘Fast & Furious’ Spinoff
Universal had been pondering a “Fast & Furious” spin-off for several years, kicking around various ideas. But it was fan reaction to the antagonistic comedic interplay between unlikely allies Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) in the eighth installment of the franchise, 2017’s “The Fate of the Furious,” that finally moved execs to make “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,” set for release on Aug. 2.

“Audiences loved the back-and-forth banter between these two guys who were always at each other’s throats, but ultimately striving for the same goal,” says Hiram Garcia, president of production for Johnson’s Seven Bucks Prods. and one of the film’s producers. “They tested through the roof.”

Garcia says the idea was to take the buddy-cop dynamic of ‘80s hits including “48 Hours,” “Lethal Weapon” and “Tango & Cash” and marry it to the over-the-top action and spectacle fans have
