This One's for the Ladies

Initially I thought this was just about Beautiful Black Male dancers and the women who admire them. I'm grateful that the film maker took the time to show the dancers as real people. These dancers come from varied backgrounds and experiences. I believe this helps the audience to see them as real people who have gone through struggles and have worked hard to be more than just products of their environments. These Beautiful Black men are so much more than just entertainers!! They're fathers, sons, college graduates, and men who genuinely care about their communities. I also appreciated seeing the women outside of the club. These Beautiful Queens are caring for their families and their communities. They are so much more than they appear initially. Also, the music played throughout the film is the crap!! I'm hoping for a soundtrack!!

This documentary was all over that place it was a waste of time and it really didn't stay on topic.

You finish the film thinking you wasted your time. It told you absolutely nothing about its subject, its people, anything.

You do find yourself questioning the taste of all involved. How could they find fans of these dancers and every single one of them be very overweight? Not 10 or 20 pounds, but over 100. How could they manage to find dancers who are all squat and not very handsome faces? Apparently all they were chosen for was being very overly muscled.

I still don't know how they got into dancing, who chose them over others, did they have relationships with their clients, etc. Etc. Etc. You compare this to other better films like "Is There Life After Porn" where all those questions are asked and answered, person by person, point by point. And they go after the most famous porn stars. These guys are the most run of the mill and forgettable.
