Rare interaction

This episode features Rainbow Dash taking care of Granny Smith and a bunch of elderly ponies. I'm reminded of some My Little Pony comic books that would always put two different characters together. It was great to see how they play off each other. Here we have a very odd combination with Granny Smith and Rainbow Dash. We need all the combos we can get! It's great to see Rainbow Dash as a Wonderbolt at the start of the episode.

That's why great shows aren't afraid to break the status quo. The funniest thing is probably having Applejack appear as Rainbow Dash's floating advice reminder. I would have preferred to see them interact, but this is great too. Things don't go well for everybody, but at least some ponies get what they want. You just never know which characters would appear. That's what make this show so great. ***1/2
