Producer Alicia Dhanifu discusses her time in film school, meeting director Jamaa Fanaka and eventually working as co-producer on his 1979 film PENITENTIARY. If you're a fan of the film in question then you'll certainly enjoy this featurette, which does a great job at talking about the various duties that Dhanifu had on the film. This includes some nice, early stories about her time in film school and what made her want to go for the producing and directing instead of acting. We get some nice stories about the production of the movie and various jobs that she had to do on the film. We also get to hear her talk about a few of the things that she wasn't happy with and why she turned down working on the sequels. Overall this was a very fun interview, although there was an error where she says ROCKY was influenced by the film. That one came out a few years before PENITENTIARY but this is still very good.
