Solid acting, decent story, weak reveals.
Could use more character building to make me care...
So I mean, after watching the first episode, I stopped watching for a few days, out of boredom really.
I came back because I have watched everything else on amazon... and I guess I am glad I did. It is not great by any standards, but is good. It picks up and gets to a point of being almost interesting.
I say "almost" because well right up to the final scene, where things take on a nice little twist, it is actually fairly predictable and unoriginal...
It plays with a few paranormal staples, and does it alright. But does nothing new, and nothing... big?... scary? interesting?...
That being said, 7/10 is actually a sign I liked it more than I seem to on the surface. I would watch a second season, but let's just say I am not holding my breath or anything...
Ok, so here it is, the bottom line, despite it's great actors, the show withholds I would say properly, and almost builds up tension, but then just kinda limply executes the big reveals, making them well... unimportant, unemotional... uninteresting really.
