On the very last days of the Iraq-Iran War a group of Iranian soldiers from three generations are returning home. The news of an Iraqi attack on a strategic boarder area forces them to make a tough choice. Should they return home for a long awaited family reunion or head to the battlefields? Written by Ayat Media
Bahram Tavakoli paints celluloid with the colours of despair and misery to highlight the ever-resilient Iranian soldiers. Focusing more on the daily struggle of a group of soldiers, we follow the very last days of the Iran- Iraq war. Using professional actors, Tavakoli finds a dynamic realism in how the soldiers project their real life experience to the fictional narrative and it's his skill as a visual and poetic filmmaker that enables viewer to form a powerful response to the grim material.
