As Matthew lies dying, Diana must strike a dreadful bargain with the goddess and make the ultimate sacrificial pact with enduring consequences. A failed coup at the Congregation sees its most powerful and terrifying members go rogue, as they close in fast on Madison, where a group of demons, vampires and witches are now residing together. Very exciting
18 February 2020 | by caroline-s-hanssonSee all my reviews

Direct quotes from my first watching of this episode, in order: "Oh, no", "Oh, wow", "Oh, boy", "Oh, cool", "Oh, no!", "Well, fudge".

The episode is very exciting, and I was kept in suspense for a large portion of the time. But for final episode of a season I had expected something... different. The best way I can explain it is that I would have been happy if this ending had been the ending of the first episode of next season.

The only reason I give this episode such a high score despite it having a bad cliffhanger ending, is that I already know there will be a season 2 and that I have the books to entertain me until then.
