According to Mexican journalist Miguel Cane, whose column inspired the title of this short film, in a land where even "machismo is rooted in culture," singer Juan Gabriel is a king. From a relationship between son and a father, from past to present, with images that fluctuate between documentary and fiction, this short film explores issues on homosexuality, going through different aspects like national hypocrisy and the internationalization of violence. In this reality, the rejection of an aspect of one's personality contrast with the public admiration for an excessive spectacle, as Roland Barthes talked about; and, what can you do when this has been passed down from generation to generation? Thus, within the world of lucha libre, where wrestlers are gods, the real struggle of a man who rejects his sexual identity through wounds that do not stop bleeding, even with the applause of the fanatic crowd, is revealed.
