When will this movie be aired? (I have been waiting!)

This is not a movie. It's a reboot of the 1990s sitcom. The (new) episodes will air on Spectrum On Demand starting in November (Spectrum is a cable TV company). There is talk that the (new) episodes will later air on another platform such as Amazon Prime. Edit

Almost every episode of Mad About You has some kind of Canadian reference - the most recent one being the hormone medication Jamie took being of Canadian origin. Every week they mention something about Canadian bacon, maple syrup, poutine, a trip to Montreal or the Yukon. So, my question is - What is the Canadian connection to this show? Someone on the writing and/or production staff has to be from Canada or related to my Canadian homeland.
