This movie does not have any connection with Weinstein, not even a symbolic one. Miramax was founded in 1979 by brothers Bob and Harvey Weinstein, and was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in June 1993. The Weinsteins continued to operate Miramax until they left the company in September 2005 after some disagreements with Disney (the distribution of Fahrenheit 9/11 by Michael Moore) and they founded a new studio, (TWC) The Weinstein Company.
